About TigerBotics 8119
TigerBotics (FRC Team 8119) from Imperial High School is a robotics team in the Imperial Valley. Founded in 2019, TigerBotics has quickly grown to become one of the most successful and innovative teams, setting a new bar in competitive robotics in a region that is predominantly agricultural. Our team is built on the core values of innovation, teamwork, and hands-on learning. At TigerBotics, students work alongside dedicated mentors to design, build, and program advanced robots capable of competing at the highest levels of the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). In addition to competing in regional robotics competitions, TigerBotics is passionate about fostering a love for science, technology, engineering, and math within the community. Through outreach events, workshops and demonstrations, we inspire young minds to explore the possibilities that STEM education can offer. We are dedicated to continually improving our technical capabilities, expanding our outreach efforts, and inspiring the next generation of engineers, scientists, and leaders. Our journey is driven by a shared passion for robotics and the belief that through teamwork and perseverance, we can achieve great things.

Our Journey
TigerBotics has rapidly grown both in skills and achievements within the competitive robotics world. In 2022, the team made an early mark as a Regional Finalist at the San Diego Regional, a proud accomplishment that fueled their drive. Returning in 2024, TigerBotics rose to 12th out of 51 teams, with a qualification record of seven wins and two losses—showcasing the team’s resilience and dedication to excellence in the FIRST Robotics Competition. In 2025, they rose higher, clawing their way to the top and winning the San Diego Regional with Team 3255 (SuperNURDs) & Team 1538 (The Holy Cows).
